Odds and ends

This weekend and for part of next week I will be travelling for work. Check out the place here.
It should be fairly interesting...apparently I will be working hard, and sleep will be at a premium, however it should be quite an experience. I will be getting sloshed and schmoozing with bigwigs for some part of it. Hopefully a large part. And there is a Monte Carlo casino night - what better place to bond than at the poker tables, while I rake in large pots.

In other news, summer has gone, and I will have a full wrap up soon. In hindsight, not the summer I expected it to be. There was less hanging out with friends on patios than there should have been...less partying, less chicas guapas. Less great moments, but a lot of good ones. Bleh to growing up!

Sadly, I will be away for the first weekend buzz of the Toronto Film Festival...however I do intend to see at least a couple movies upon my return. Lot of good flicks and a lot of good buzz. Volver. Borat. The Fountain. Bunny Chow!

Even more sadly, I will miss the Merseyside derby this weekend....(long time readers of the blog will remember what an occasion this is for me). My feeling is the one and only Reds will run rampant and ravage the rundown ragamuffins of Everton. For anyone, especially those in England (not singling out any particular long-haired programmer...), this is the time to get on the bandwagon.
