What's up

So another work week has come and gone, and already the routine is starting to get a bit annoying. Especially the waking up at 6:30am part. And the part where the employees are treated like cattle. However, I do enjoy being downtown, there is a good vibe and I have definitely learned quite a lot in a short period of time. The amount of turnover is quite amazing, the office is like a revolving door. I have an interview this morning, phone interview from Chicago. My current job has definitely improved my phone skills, so perhaps this is all part of a greater plan?

The weekend was good and bad. Good in that I am really enjoying the weather, getting out and playing sports and drinking on patios. Bad in that the World Cup finally ended, and the rotten Azzurri won it. I mean, they are a talented team, but didn't deserve to win. Zizou...wow. A disgraceful end to a glittering career. WTF was he thinking? Bring about the guillotine, boys! In other soccer news, I had a league game Sunday night, and scored a cracking left footed volley to win the game for our team. Top corner if I do say so myself.

Oh I saw Pirates 2 this weekend, much it seems like every other person in the U.S. Passable entertainment certainly, but definitely 30 mins too long. If you wait till the end of the credits there is an additional scene. Cute but maybe not worth the 5 min wait. The CGI effects no longer wow me. Perhaps this is a sign I have finally exited the 18-26 yr marketing category. That and perhaps my date of birth.
