Weekend report...

Another strong summer weekend, I must say. It started off with a bang on Friday night - with $2 drinks after work. I was pleasantly surprised to find I wasn't totally hammered by 8pm. The night ended with drinks on a patio with new friends and a cute blonde. Never a bad thing. Saturday night involved drinking beer on a patio downtown. See a pattern? While waiting in line outside the patio I, being goaded on by friends already sitting safely inside, made a clumsy attempt to jump over the fence. I wobbled slightly, then as I regained my footing felt like a hero. I had successfully managed to bypass the huge lineup. Fuck you all, line-waiters! Jerks! I don't need to wait in lines, lines are for jackasses. About 10 seconds later I was brought back down to earth by a stern woman who saw my weak attempt and promptly escorted me off the premises and told me I wasn't getting back in. From hero to goat in about 30 seconds, must be a record somewhere. Oh and btw, fanks very much Jetboy, for the unnecessary excitement.

End of story is I convinced the manager to let me wait in line...and salvaged the evening, if not my dignity. Sunday involved a few hours of online poker, and a soccer game in the 44C heat...in which I scored a couple and missed 25. Double header of soccer and frisbee on Wednesday night, should be fun.

Back to the grindstone tomorrow...yay!
