another short one...

OK, so I kind of got caught up watching the Count of Monte Cristo on T.V. hence no bloggage tonight. Good movie by the way. Guy Pearce does the snivelling rat part really well. I'm expecting to have a great weekend, and I wish you all one too. And if on this weekend you are faced with adversity of any kind, just stand up straight, look right ahead and say "Do your worst!"

(except of course when you're being questioned by the police.)

I leave you now with a fondly remembered and oft-repeated quote from the movie:

"Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine! Then the fates will know you as we know you."

have a good one folks.

um isn't that from Gladiator?

'cause if memory serves, The Count of Monte Cristo took place in France and/or was a French tale...(obviously apart from the prison island)...but me thinks you doth got it wrong...

SeƱor Jet,
You are wrong and alas, your movie trivia knowledge is once again proven to be lacking. Not to mention, your logic. Just because Rome is mentioned doth not mean that the movie is set in Rome, but perhaps that a single incident from the movie occurred in Rome.
cheers

I believe Jet got spanked in public for being a bad boy.

Jet,

Considering he said that he had JUST SEEN THE MOVIE and it was quite fresh in his mind, this was not some quote he was pulling from his albeit dusty and oft incorrect memory banks.

Your case for being the great movie master has become that much weaker but there is still hope, or is there Levs?

If you still feel the need to challenge Levs again on his movie knowledge, I believe I can speak for him when I say: Do your worst
